Break Your Voice Off explores the relationship of gender-non-binaries and voice through the lens of ventriloquism. Each is created from recombined pages of my 2019 artist book Break Your Voice. If the book was like a music album, each of these works is like a remixed hook or melody that got stuck in my head. They blend three voices: decontextualized handwritten lists, quotes from a monograph on ventriloquism, and typeset original text.
